Armtec’s cellular confinement systems are used in conjunction with granular or weaker soils to create an engineered-grade composite. Confinement of a weaker soil within the individual cells of the mat allows these soils to exhibit the characteristics of stronger granular soils. The use of a cellular confinement system can greatly reduce the need for expensive granular materials.
