The Armtec Underground Stormwater Detention System Compact Disk
The Armtec USDS CD contains complete design software, documentation, and CAD symbols to aid in all aspects of corrugated steel pipe underground detention system design.
The software allows the designer to use the Modified Rational hydrograph method, the NRCS (SCS) TR-55 "Tabular Hydrograph" method, or a user-entered/pasted hydrograph to specify the inflow to the detention system. The designer then visually lays out a detention system that meets the storage requirements dictated by the inflow hydrograph and outflow rate limitations. Various pre-defined detention layouts can be used, or a completely custom layout can be drawn by placing predefined pipe fittings using the drag-and-drop layout designer. A weir and multiple orifices can be used to control the outflow from the system.
The software automatically performs a complete flow routing for the system using the widely known "Inventory Equation". Once the system is sized to the satisfaction of the designer, a pipe, fittings, and bulkhead design can be performed by the software and product specifications, CAD details, and complete design outputs for the detention system can be automatically generated.
The software includes a 50 page user manual, tutorial, and comprehensive technical commentary detailing the calculations performed.
The Armtec Underground Stormwater Detention System (USDS) software is available on compact disk from all of our Sales Offices, or is available for direct download by submitting the Software Request Form.

Armtec Pipe Assistant
Select, sketch, design, and specify Armtec's steel pipe products all from one program.
The CMP Assistant is an easy-to-use tool that enables you to select from a standard list of Armtec's steel pipe and bridging products. The program contains Bridge-Plate ® (deep corrugated structural plate pipe), Multi-Plate ® (structural plate pipe),Tunnel Liner Plate, Hel-Cor ® (corrugated steel pipe) and Ultra Flo ® (spiral rib pipe). Comprehensive structural design by either the AISI, AASHTO, or the new national "Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code" facilitate the selection of shapes, configurations and wall thickness.
Integrated sketching and a datasheet provide an electronic record and printout of the structure selected.
This software package is available

Armtec Pipe-Cost Life-Cycle Cost Analysis Program
The Armtec Life-Cycle Cost Analysis Program will perform Life-Cycle Cost Analysis (also called "Least Cost Analysis") as per ASTM A930-94 and the AISI "Modern Sewer Design" handbook.
The program allows comparison of up to 10 different pipe alternatives, and includes various "what-if" facilities for seeing the effect of variances in the design information. The results can be viewed, graphed, printed, and sensitivity analysis can be performed to view the effects of economic variables on the results.
This software package is available for Windows 3.1 and Windows 95/98 and is part of the Multi-Plate Assistant CD, or can be requested as an e-mail attachment. Fill in the Software Request Form to receive it or contact the Sales Office nearest you.
